Yangtze River Acetyls Co, Ltd.

Yangtze River Acetyls Co, Ltd. (YARACO) is a Sino-Foreign Equity joint Venture jointly invested and established by the major shareholders, BP Chemicals and Sinopec Sichuan Vinylon Works. Located in the Southwest China Chongqing Municipality, the gateway to the Western Region, it is one of the most modern and leading chemical enterprises in China. YARACO currently has a production capacity of 175 ktepa of acetic acid completed in the phase I investment program. A new derivative acetate esters plant with a capacity of 80 ktepa, under the Phase II investment program, vill produce both Ethy1 Acetate (Etac) and Buty1 Acetate (Butac). The initial total investment approved by MOFTEC for the Joint Venture was RMB2.1 billion. YARACO has successfully employed BP’s leading patented and advanced process technology- the low pressure methanol carbonylation technology for acetic acid production and the convertible esterification technology for producing acetate esters. Both acetic acid & acetate esters produced by YARACO are of high specifications and quality, and achieve consistency and reliability in standards. In July 2002,we passed easily the ISO 9000 attestation for our quality assurance system, this means that our capability of marketing, production & management has been promoted to a higher level.

 

Chongqing Taiji Industry (Group) Co, Ltd.

Chongqing Taiji Industry (Group) Co, Ltd. (Taiji Group) is a large conglomerate started from pharmaceutical industry.
