Shanghai's legendary music party crew Antidote throws its first party
of 2010 in Wuhan, and this will be the first ever Antidote in
Chongqing !!!
We are bringing one of the hottest rising talents in China -- the
singer "Chacha", with partner DJ Drunk Monk.
Guizhou native Chacha and UK's Drunk Monk first performed together
with Antidote on a crazy hot summer night at a basement banger in C's
Bar Shanghai in 2007. A couple months later the duo was performing
for thousands on the outdoor stage at Yue Music Festival, on the bill
with Faithless, Talib Kweli, Yacht, SuperVC, and Hedgehog. Since
then, Drunk Monk (founder of Uprooted Sunshine Soundsystem and
China's premeire underground DJ club, The Shelter) and Chacha have
performed with or recorded studio tracks with countless international
acts, from reggae / dub legends Adrian Sherwood, Clive Chin, Cojie,
and Vibronics, as well as Drum and Bass / Dubstep stars Goldie, Kode
9, Pinch, Disrupt, and abstract / trip hop artists like The Bug.
Chacha has also worked with reknowned Chinese producers like B6 and
Mr. Tsang.
The duo brings the sounds of the future for the first time in Wuhan
and Chongqing -- wicked dubstep, trip hop, reggae, and abstract hip
hop -- with Drunk Monk providing the big bass from the vinyl, and
Chacha rocking the mic with soaring vocals and party banging MC
skills.
